La Vecchia Fonte Boutique Hotel - Palau

The location was unbeatable, just a few steps from the marina and close to local eateries. I appreciated the spacious room, which had a charming Italian decor. While parking was a breeze, primarily due to a public lot nearby, the breakfast was rather average and could use a bit more variety. The clean and comfortable accommodations made for a pleasant stay overall.

It has a combination of an impeccable service and a QUIET ambience. The rooms are neat, luxurious, and come with central heating, a safe box and multi-channel TV.

The bathrooms are quite small.

the place was stylish and had very helpful staff from the breakfast room ladies to the cleaners and receptionists, enjoyed the stay. there were bakery, fresh fruit, and scrambled eggs in the restaurant. the location was perfect and stunning, close to a port and easy to find. the property was close to the beach.

The location was perfect, being just a short walk to the Harbour and close to local shops. The staff were kind and helpful.

I really liked the size of my room and bathroom. The shower was excellent. The design was traditional but very tasteful and thought-out. Very comfortable and quite room. I asked for a beach view and got it too. Good airconditioning. Extra nice things in the bathroom, such as body moisuriser, shower gel as well as soaps, slippers etc. Kettle and mugs, stocked mini bar and electronic safe. All staff were very friendly and helpful, from the front of desk to the breakfast staff and cleaners. The breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit salad, a boiled egg done to your liking and coffee made for you plus a very wide selection of other things. It is well within easy walking distance to the beach and local shops.

This is not a complaint but rather a heads up. In summer there is a night market, every night outside the hotel. It is not very noisey, no bands or anything. It was fun the first night, but would rather have had it not so close after that, but really not much of a problem. Palau is not big and it does'nt take over. If you love markets you'll be in heaven.... if not well it's good to know. I did'nt hear it once back in my room and I faced the market.

A lovely hotel in a central but not noisy location (Palau is a pretty sleepy town) near the ferry to La Maddalena. We ended our honeymoon with a few days there after a stay on la Maddalena, and were very happy with the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff.

Not much to dislike - the hotel has no pool, which is a shame, but there's a nice beach 5 minutes away so not really a problem.

Inconsistent air conditioning performance!!! The decor is dated, and some rooms overlook less appealing views!!! Parking can be limited during peak times, so plan accordingly!!!

I enjoyed a comfortable stay with a well-decorated room and a helpful receptionist. The breakfast offered a lovely selection, but parking was a challenge, and noise from nearby markets affected my sleep. It's a good base for exploring local attractions.

It had very central location close to Ludoteca il re Leone. My room was neat and airy and had a laptop safe, a mini-bar, and central heating...

Convenient to best beaches in the world

Sweet staff from the breakfast room ladies to the cleaners and receptionists, wonderful room with sea views. A wide range of fresh food for continental breakfast. Location just next door to Olbia, the main square with all the restorants, farmer market, 50m to the main street and the habour and Ferry to La Madallena.

Opt for a room with a view for a more serene atmosphere and take advantage of the well trained staff's local recommendations for dining and activities.

Noisy bars directly outside hotel with live music until 1:00 am. Internet was so slow that it was unusable.
